Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update
We are looking forward to continuing our work in 2020/21. You can find this year’s offering of funded projects and Work Groups listed here. Given the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the knock-on effects on school life, our work will, in part, address the challenge that schools face in recovering from the outbreak. There will also be flexible ways for teachers to participate and collaborate, taking into account the unique in-school demands likely to last well into the new school year.
The NCETM have created a range of materials and guidance to help primary and secondary schools adapt maths teaching, when necessary, to address the ongoing impact of the outbreak.

Welcome to Abacus NW Maths Hub, led by Cardinal Newman College and Our Lady's Catholic High School, two Outstanding institutions based in Preston who work together with schools, colleges and organisations across Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool and parts of Lancashire. We are one of a network of 40 Maths Hubs in England, working together within the Maths Hub Programme. The programme is funded by the Department of Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre of Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).
